Mr. Matson's Musings

Welcome to the 2014-15 school year! We were elated to see students return for the first day of school. With excitement in their eyes, students said hello to new friends, teachers, and staff members. We also enjoyed seeing families get to know the school at our Boo Hoo Breakfast.

Middletown is blessed to have fabulous parents who contribute wherever needed. On the first day of school, more than 20 parents and community members helped make sure that students were welcomed, knew where to go, and knew how to get home. Many volunteers stayed the whole day! With such a strong community of support and a highly skilled staff, our students will certainly be prepared for college and beyond.

The 2nd grade has been learning about plants and their needs in Science.
They even planted mums in our school Garden!

Our Read-A-Thon was a great success!
In honor of KY Kids Day and our successful Read-A-Thon, our school came together to spell out READ. Thank you to our wonderful PTA for our rocking t-shirts!
