Middletown Fundraisers

As with many organizations, Middletown Elementary and the PTA rely heavily on different fund-raisers and programs offered throughout the year to help bring money back into the school. Programs such as these enable us to enhance your child’s learning experience. We encourage you to think about the many different opportunities that you have to support your school financially. Pick the one(s) that work best for you.

  • Clip for Cash - Box Tops/Campbells/Tyson
Middletown Elementary PTA is collecting Campbell’s/General Mills’ (Box Tops) product labels and coupons and Tyson A+ Chicken Bag tops. All of these items can be redeemed for cash. This is an easy way for the school to earn extra money and we encourage ALL families to participate. Simply send in any labels to the school with your child. Your child’s teacher will make sure they go to the right place.
  • Recycling Toner & Ink Cartridges, Plus cell Phones
Send in all of your used inkjet and toner cartridges as well as old cell phones.  These items will be recycled to help us earn necessary supplies for your PTA.  Just send them in with your child and their teacher will make sure they go to the right place.
  • Louisville Coupon Books
Our school sells Louisville Coupon Books offering a variety of coupons to save money on travel, dining, shopping, attractions and much more. The school earns money for each book sold which provides extra funds for goods and services that are not covered in the school budget. The children are given the opportunity to win different prizes as incentives.
  • Kroger Cards
The Kroger Card Rewards program, sponsored by the Middletown Chess team allows you to give money to the school when you do your weekly grocery shopping. You simply buy a Kroger card for $5.00 (they are available at the front office). Then, whenever you go to Kroger, you go to the service desk and put money on the card. Then when you go to checkout, use the card to pay for your purchase (including gas). A portion of the purchase will be given back to the school. You can use it every time you go Krogering!
  • Market Day
Are you tired of trying to throw dinner together after a long day at work or at home? Market Day offers a wide selection of high quality foods that are easy and quick to serve. Every month a newsletter will be sent home with your student that lists all of the food items, including monthly specials. You simply return the order form to the school (or you can order on-line at www.marketday.com). All of the items will be delivered to the school and you can pick them up in the cafeteria. A portion of every purchase goes back to the school.
  • PTA Fundraiser - Read-a-thon
Two weeks in September are devoted to our Read-a-thon program which takes the place of a traditional catalog fundraiser for our school's PTA. The children set reading goals, then read books and magazines of their choice and keep track of the minutes they read. The children also ask family and friends to sponsor them as they try to reach their reading goal. Prizes are given to students and classes who log the most reading time as well as raise the most sponsorship money.
  • School Pictures
Twice during the school year LifeTouch will come to the school to take your child’s photo. A package will be sent home with your child giving you the opportunity to purchase photos. The school receives a small amount of the money made from these orders.
